AGH!!! Finally! I’m so glad we can announce our amazing first keynote speaker.
Kicking off our very first day of utopYA 2015 is none other than Denise Grover Swank! She has been a force in the indie community — standing up for the rights of indie authors, as well as supporting and encouraging peers. She has shown the community not only how to become a successful author, going so far as to share her business plan and sales figures, but her talent is off the hook (the 400,000 books she’s sold this year alone is the proof in the pudding).
A New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Denise Grover Swank lives in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, where she raises her six children, three dogs, and pours what she describes as “an overactive imagination” into her writing. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, she lived in the area until age 19 before setting off for five cities, four states and ten houses over ten years, finally settling back home in western Missouri.
Denise is a shining example of the power of indie publishing and tenacity. She’s smart and personable, as well, and I know that our community is going to thrive from hearing her speak about her journey.
Coming soon — Denise will be joining us for a very fun video interview!
Tickets to #utopYA2015 go on sale this November.
Stay tuned because we will also be announcing the first round of moderators and panelists this week.
