Winners of the Second Annual utopYA Awards

Utopia Announcements, Authors, utopYA Awards

utopYA AwardsWe are soooo happy to announce the winners of the Second Annual utopYA Awards. Thank you to the utopYA Academy members who nominated their peers, and thank you to the public for your votes.

In two weeks of public voting, almost 3,800 votes came in from 48 countries around the world, including: Tunisia, Slovenia, Russia, Korea, Greece, New Zealand, Australia, Peru, the Netherlands, South Africa, Saudia Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Malawi, Egypt, Iraq, Suriname, Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and many more!

Hosted by CMT’s Katie Cook, the show had heart and humor. Joining her on stage was Eternal Hope book cover model, Collin Patrick. With his dress shirt hanging open, and washboard abs on display, Collin took Katie’s “ribbings” in stride.

We’d like to give a big thank you to your sponsors:

Regina Wamba from Mae I Design was the official utopYA Awards photographer. She captured the spirit of the Awards and rocked our faces off!

And thank you to author Frankie Rose of Hellion Works, our official video sponsor. She created a gorgeous trailer for the Awards and the Nominee stingers up on the screen at the Awards show.

Last, but  not least, a tremendous thank you to the multi-talented Amanda Havard, who wrote songs for three of the nominated authors — Chelsea Fine, Quinn Loftis and Amy Bartol — as well as unveiled one of her own from The Survivors series of books. The four performances, two of which included accompaniment by Ink Slinger PR’s K.P. Simmon and marketing maven Erica Erwin, respectively, were highlights of the night. We look forward to sharing those performances with you very soon.

Without further ado…
