It’s time for the Friday Evening Fan Event (FeFe public signing) Lottery. If this is the first you’ve heard of it, here’s the skinny:
We are extremely happy to announce that we have partnered with Book ‘Em, a non-profit organization dedicated to the collection and distribution of books to children and teens in lower-income families, for a special Friday night fan event during utopYAcon weekend.
The Friday Evening Fan Event (FeFe public signing) will be FREE to anyone who brings a new or gently used children’s book for donation.
It will be only $5 to those who do not bring a book. All admission fees and books go to Book ‘Em.

We are holding a Lottery random drawing for authors interested in being a part of the event who have paid admission to the #utopYA2014 conference — this could be via exhibitor space you purchased, from a giveaway that was held, or from the Explorer or Superstar package you purchased.
The Lottery drawing is this Sunday, March 2, 2014.
No author is allowed to only be a part of the signing. This is for those authors who have committed to participating and being a part of the entire weekend. It’s for tribe. We will be cross-checking every person who fills out the form to be a part of the lottery drawing.
Aside from the exception of our keynote speakers, each table will have two authors posted at it, and will be in Alphabetical Order. There are 17 tables available, which means we have room for 34 authors.
The cost for authors who want to participate is only $20 for the entire three hours. You do NOT pay until the lottery drawing has taken place and you have “won” a spot. You will then have until Friday night, March 7, 2014 to pay for your table. You will be sent an invoice after you’re drawn in the lottery. Any authors with unpaid invoices after March 7th will forfeit their table. After that, any remaining tables are first come-first served.
